Terms of service

TERMS OF SERVICE

Last Updated: 15th August 2026

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Sissel Lab website and your purchase of products through our online store.

Please read these Terms carefully before placing an order. By using our website or placing an order, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

Nothing in these Terms affects or limits any statutory rights you may have as a consumer under Irish or applicable EU law.

1. ABOUT US

The website sissellab.ie is operated by:

Sissel Lab

Sissel Lab Ltd
Email: admin@sissellab.ie

Throughout these Terms, "Sissel Lab", "we", "us" and "our" refer to the business operating the website.

"You", "your" or "customer" refers to any person accessing the website or purchasing products from us.

2. ABOUT OUR PRODUCTS

Sissel Lab specialises in Korean skincare and beauty products sourced for sale to customers in Ireland.

We make reasonable efforts to ensure that product descriptions, photographs, ingredients, colours, sizes and other information displayed on our website are accurate and up to date.

However:

  • Product packaging may occasionally change due to manufacturer updates.

  • The packaging shown in website photographs may differ slightly from the packaging supplied.

  • Product colours may appear differently depending on your device or screen.

  • Ingredients and product formulations may change. Customers should always check the ingredients and packaging supplied with the product before use.

  • Availability of products may change without notice.

Where there is a difference between a website description and the product supplied, your statutory consumer rights remain unaffected.

3. SKINCARE AND COSMETIC PRODUCTS

Our products are intended for cosmetic and skincare use and should be used in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions.

Before using a product, you should read the packaging, ingredients, directions and warnings supplied with the product.

We recommend performing a patch test where appropriate, particularly when using a new skincare product or if you have sensitive skin.

Sissel Lab does not provide medical advice. Product descriptions, ingredient information and skincare recommendations provided on our website are for general informational purposes and should not be considered medical advice or a substitute for advice from a qualified healthcare professional.

If you experience irritation, an allergic reaction or another adverse reaction, discontinue use and seek appropriate professional medical advice where necessary.

4. ELIGIBILITY TO PURCHASE

You must be legally capable of entering into a binding contract to purchase products from our website.

By placing an order, you confirm that:

  • The information you provide is accurate and complete.

  • You are authorised to use the payment method provided.

  • You are purchasing products for personal or legitimate business use and not for any unlawful purpose.

We reserve the right to refuse or cancel an order where we reasonably believe that fraudulent activity, unauthorised payment, abuse of our website or other unlawful activity may be involved.

5. PRODUCT AVAILABILITY

All products are subject to availability.

Adding a product to your shopping basket does not guarantee that the product will remain available until you complete your purchase.

If a product becomes unavailable after you have placed an order, we will contact you and, where appropriate, offer you:

  • A suitable alternative;

  • A delay in fulfilment where you agree to wait; or

  • A refund for the unavailable product.

If we cannot fulfil an order, you will not be charged for products that we cannot supply, or any payment already taken for such products will be refunded.

6. PRICES

All prices displayed on our website are in Euro (€) and, where applicable, include Irish VAT.

The total price payable will be displayed before you complete your order and will include any applicable delivery charges.

We reserve the right to change prices at any time. A price change will not affect an order that has already been accepted by us.

We take reasonable care to ensure that prices displayed on our website are correct. If we discover a genuine pricing error before an order has been accepted, we may contact you to confirm whether you wish to proceed at the correct price.

If you do not wish to proceed, you may cancel the order and receive a full refund of any amount already paid.

Nothing in this section affects your statutory rights.

7. OFFERS AND PROMOTIONS

From time to time, we may offer discounts, promotional codes, gifts, bundles or other promotional offers.

Unless expressly stated otherwise:

  • Promotional codes cannot be exchanged for cash.

  • Promotional codes may not be combined with other offers.

  • Promotional codes may be subject to minimum spend requirements.

  • Promotional offers are subject to availability.

  • We reserve the right to withdraw or amend a promotional offer where permitted by law.

Where a promotional offer has specific terms, those terms will apply in addition to these Terms.

8. PLACING AN ORDER

When you place an order through our website, you are making an offer to purchase the selected products.

After placing an order, you should receive an order acknowledgement by email.

An order acknowledgement confirms that we have received your order. It does not necessarily mean that your order has been accepted.

Your order will be accepted when we confirm that the products have been dispatched or otherwise expressly confirm acceptance.

We reserve the right to refuse an order in limited circumstances, including where:

  • A product is unavailable;

  • There is a genuine pricing or description error;

  • We suspect fraudulent or unlawful activity;

  • We are unable to obtain valid payment;

  • We are unable to deliver to the address provided; or

  • We reasonably believe the order has been placed for resale or other purposes contrary to our stated policies.

If we cancel an order after payment has been taken, we will refund the amount paid for the cancelled order.

9. PAYMENT

Payment must be made using the payment methods available at checkout.

Payment must be authorised before your order is processed.

We do not store full payment card details where payment is processed through a third-party payment provider.

By submitting payment details, you confirm that you are authorised to use the relevant payment method.

We may use third-party payment providers to securely process payments. Their own terms and privacy policies may also apply.

10. ORDER CONFIRMATION

After completing your purchase, we will provide confirmation of your order by email or another appropriate durable medium.

Your confirmation will normally include:

  • Details of the products purchased;

  • Quantity;

  • Price;

  • Delivery charges;

  • Total amount paid;

  • Delivery information; and

  • Information relating to cancellation and consumer rights.

Please retain your order confirmation for your records.

11. DELIVERY

We currently deliver to addresses within Ireland unless otherwise stated on the website.

Delivery charges and estimated delivery times will be displayed at checkout or in our Delivery Information section.

Estimated delivery times are estimates and are not guaranteed unless expressly stated otherwise.

We will make reasonable efforts to dispatch orders within the timeframe stated on our website.

Once your order has been dispatched, you may receive tracking information where a tracked delivery service is used.

We are not responsible for delays caused by circumstances outside our reasonable control, including postal delays, courier disruption, extreme weather, strikes, transport disruption or other events beyond our reasonable control.

However, your statutory rights concerning non-delivery remain unaffected.

12. DELIVERY ADDRESS

Customers are responsible for ensuring that the delivery address provided at checkout is accurate and complete.

If an order is returned to us because an incorrect or incomplete address was supplied, please contact us as soon as possible.

Where appropriate, we may arrange re-delivery. Additional delivery charges may apply where the failed delivery resulted from incorrect information provided by the customer.

This does not affect your statutory rights.

13. RISK AND OWNERSHIP

Risk in the products passes to you when you, or a person nominated by you to receive the products, physically takes possession of the products.

Where products are being returned to us, responsibility for the products remains subject to applicable consumer law and the circumstances of the return.

Ownership of products passes to you once we have received full payment and the products have been delivered to you.

14. YOUR RIGHT TO CANCEL – 14-DAY COOLING-OFF PERIOD

If you are a consumer purchasing products online, you generally have a legal right to cancel your purchase within 14 days without giving a reason.

The 14-day cancellation period generally begins on the day you, or a person nominated by you, receives the goods.

If your order consists of multiple products delivered separately, the cancellation period may run from the date the final product is received.

To exercise your right to cancel, you must clearly inform us of your decision within the applicable cancellation period.

You may contact us by email at:

sissellabdub@gmail.com

You may also use the cancellation form provided at the end of these Terms.

You do not have to use the form provided, provided that your communication clearly states that you wish to cancel your contract.

15. RETURNING PRODUCTS AFTER CANCELLATION

After informing us that you wish to cancel, you must return the relevant products within the applicable statutory timeframe.

Unless the product is faulty, incorrect or otherwise does not conform to the contract, you will normally be responsible for the direct cost of returning the products.

Products should be returned securely packaged to avoid damage during transit.

Where legally applicable, you may be responsible for any diminished value resulting from handling the goods beyond what is necessary to establish their nature, characteristics and functioning.

16. COSMETIC PRODUCTS AND SEALED ITEMS

For hygiene and consumer-safety reasons, certain skincare and cosmetic products may not be eligible for cancellation once their protective seal has been broken, where an applicable legal exception applies.

For example, this may include products that are sealed for hygiene or health-protection reasons and are unsuitable for return once opened.

This restriction does not remove or limit your statutory rights where a product is faulty, damaged, unsafe, incorrectly supplied or otherwise does not conform to the contract.

If you are unsure whether an item can be returned, please contact us before opening or using it.

17. REFUNDS FOLLOWING CANCELLATION

Where you validly exercise your statutory right to cancel, we will refund the relevant amount in accordance with applicable Irish consumer law.

Refunds will generally include the standard delivery charge paid for the original delivery, where required by law.

Where you selected a more expensive delivery option than our least expensive standard delivery method, we may only be required to refund the cost of the least expensive standard delivery option.

Refunds will normally be made using the same payment method used for the original transaction, unless you expressly agree otherwise.

We may withhold reimbursement until we have received the returned products or you provide evidence that they have been returned, whichever occurs first, where permitted by law.

18. FAULTY, DAMAGED OR INCORRECT PRODUCTS

Your statutory rights apply where a product is:

  • Faulty;

  • Damaged;

  • Not as described;

  • Not of the required quality;

  • Not fit for its normal purpose; or

  • Otherwise does not conform to the sales contract.

If you receive a product that appears damaged or defective, please contact us as soon as reasonably possible and provide your order number and, where possible, photographs of the product and packaging.

Depending on the circumstances and your legal rights, we may offer an appropriate remedy, which may include:

  • Repair;

  • Replacement;

  • Price reduction; or

  • Refund.

We will determine the appropriate remedy in accordance with applicable Irish consumer law.

Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes your statutory consumer rights.

Irish consumer law requires goods sold to consumers to conform to the contract and provides remedies where they do not. (CCPC)

19. PRODUCTS DAMAGED DURING DELIVERY

If your order arrives visibly damaged, please contact us as soon as reasonably possible.

Where possible, please retain:

  • The product;

  • The original packaging;

  • Any delivery packaging;

  • Photographs showing the damage; and

  • Your order confirmation.

We may request photographs or other information to assist us in investigating the issue with the courier.

We will not require you to bear responsibility for damage caused before the product came into your possession where applicable under consumer law.

20. EXCHANGES

We may offer exchanges for certain products as a customer-service option.

However, an exchange policy does not replace or restrict your statutory rights.

If a product is faulty, damaged or does not conform to the contract, please contact us rather than simply requesting an exchange so that we can determine the appropriate remedy.

21. CUSTOMER RESPONSIBILITY FOR PRODUCT USE

Customers are responsible for following the manufacturer's instructions and warnings supplied with each product.

You should not use products for purposes other than those for which they are intended.

You should check the ingredients before use if you have known allergies or sensitivities.

Sissel Lab cannot guarantee that a particular skincare product will produce a particular cosmetic result, as individual skin types and responses vary.

22. WEBSITE CONTENT

We make reasonable efforts to ensure that information on our website is accurate.

However, we do not guarantee that the website will always be:

  • Available;

  • Error-free;

  • Completely accurate;

  • Free from technical issues; or

  • Free from viruses or other harmful components.

We may update, modify, suspend or withdraw parts of the website from time to time.

Such changes will not affect orders already accepted unless required by law.

23. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

All content on the website, including:

  • Logos;

  • Brand names;

  • Product descriptions;

  • Photographs;

  • Graphics;

  • Website design;

  • Text;

  • Images; and

  • Other materials

You may access and use the website for personal, non-commercial purposes.

Third-party trademarks and brand names remain the property of their respective owners.

24. REVIEWS AND CUSTOMER CONTENT

If you submit a product review, photograph, comment or other content to us, you confirm that:

  • The content is your own or you have permission to provide it;

  • It does not infringe another person's rights;

  • It is not unlawful, defamatory, abusive or misleading; and

  • It does not contain malicious software or harmful material.

Where you provide content for publication, you grant us a non-exclusive right to use, reproduce and display that content for purposes connected with our business and marketing, subject to applicable law.

We reserve the right to remove content that we reasonably consider inappropriate, unlawful, misleading or in breach of these Terms.

25. PRIVACY AND PERSONAL DATA

We process personal information in accordance with applicable data-protection legislation.

Our Privacy Policy explains:

  • What personal information we collect;

  • Why we collect it;

  • How we use it;

  • How long we retain it;

  • When we share it with third parties; and

  • Your rights in relation to your personal information.

Please read our Privacy Policy before using our website.

Our website may use third-party providers for services such as:

  • Payment processing;

  • Delivery and courier services;

  • Analytics;

  • Marketing;

  • Email communications; and

  • Customer support.

Third-party providers may have their own terms and privacy policies.

We are not responsible for the content or operation of third-party websites that we link to, except where required by applicable law.

27. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where doing so would be unlawful.

In particular, nothing in these Terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer.

We are not responsible for losses that:

  • Were not reasonably foreseeable;

  • Were not caused by our breach of contract or legal duty; or

  • Relate to business losses where you are purchasing products as a consumer.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.

28. EVENTS OUTSIDE OUR CONTROL

We will not be liable for failure or delay in performing our obligations where the failure or delay is caused by circumstances outside our reasonable control.

Such circumstances may include:

  • Severe weather;

  • Natural disasters;

  • Fire;

  • Flood;

  • War;

  • Civil unrest;

  • Industrial disputes;

  • Transport disruption;

  • Postal or courier disruption;

  • Cyber incidents;

  • Government action;

  • Public-health emergencies; or

  • Failure of third-party service providers.

Where such circumstances occur, we will take reasonable steps to minimise the impact on customers.

Your statutory rights, including rights relating to non-delivery or cancellation, remain unaffected.

29. COMPLAINTS

We want to resolve any issue as quickly as possible.

If you have a complaint, please contact:

Email: sissellabdub@gmail.com

Please include:

  • Your name;

  • Order number;

  • Details of the issue;

  • Relevant photographs or supporting information, where applicable; and

  • The resolution you are seeking.

We will review your complaint and respond as soon as reasonably practicable.

30. GOVERNING LAW

These Terms are governed by the laws of Ireland.

If you are a consumer resident in another jurisdiction, you may also have mandatory rights under the laws of that jurisdiction where applicable.

Nothing in these Terms is intended to deprive you of any mandatory consumer protections that apply to you.

31. DISPUTE RESOLUTION

If we are unable to resolve a complaint directly, you may have access to consumer dispute-resolution mechanisms available under Irish or EU law.

You may also seek independent legal advice regarding your rights.

Nothing in this section prevents you from exercising any statutory rights available to you.

32. CHANGES TO THESE TERMS

We may update these Terms from time to time.

The latest version will be published on our website with the relevant "Last Updated" date.

Changes will not retrospectively affect contracts that have already been accepted unless required by law.

33. SEVERABILITY

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unlawful, invalid or unenforceable, that provision will be interpreted or amended to the minimum extent necessary to make it lawful and enforceable.

The remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.

34. ENTIRE AGREEMENT

These Terms, together with any documents expressly incorporated into them, constitute the terms governing your use of our website and purchase of products from us.

Nothing in these Terms removes or limits any statutory rights that cannot legally be excluded.
